With fully equipped kitchens, guests have the flexibility of self-catering or venturing into Hoedspruit to experience local flavours.

Meet Casper and Kayla, the owners and managers of Afrikaya. Kayla, a South African who grew up in Cape Town, has a background in wildlife research. As a skilled wildlife and conservation photographer/videographer, Kayla channels her passion into managing the marketing efforts of Afrikaya. Meanwhile, Casper, originally from the Netherlands, has spent years operating as a safari guide in and around Hoedspruit. It was during their shared safari guide course in 2016 that Casper and Kayla crossed paths, and have called Hoedspruit home ever since. Together, they eagerly await the opportunity to share their profound love for South Africa's wilderness with guests at Afrikaya.
